Contractor to state what bonus, if any, he is willing to pay; what subsidy, if any, he expects to. receive; what guarantee of minimum profit, if any, i lie is willing to accept in lieu of subsidy. ; 11. The contract to last for five years, with power to the Government to purchase during the: currency of the contract at 25 per cent, over actual outlay at tho time of erecting the line and building the stations; ami at the termination of the contract at 20 per cent, oviir actual outlay. Difference of opinion as to aciual outlay to be settled by two arbitrators, one appointed by Government, and one by the Contractors ; and in case of non-agreement by an urn: pi: v appointed by the two. All dogs, being six months old, are required to be registered annually on the Ist day of April. The constabulary force are the prosecutors and informants under the " Dog Nuisance Ordinance." Dunedin.
