The Government to.grant permission to carry the line through its reserves, and along the Government roads and lands. / 2. Charges as per annexed Schedule. 9 Contractors to keep the Hue in order, to pay all working expenses, including the salary of the Manager. 10. Contractor to state what bonus, if any, he is willing- to pay; what subsidy, if any, he expects to receive; what guarantee of minimum profit, if any, he is willing- to accept in lieu of subsidy. 11. The contract to last for five years, with power to the Government to purchase during the currency of the contract at 25 per cent, over actual outlay at the time of erecting the line and building the stations; 7Vnd at the termination of the contract at 20 per cent, over actual outlay. Difference of opinion as to actual outlay to be settled by two arbitrators, one appointed by Government, and one by the Contractors 3 and in case of non-agreement by an umpire appointed by the two.
