IN pursuance of the power and authority vested in me in that behalf, I do hereby fix and proclaim, that the Fourteenth Session of the Provincial Council of the Province of Otago aforesaid, shall be holdcn within the Provincial Council Hall, Dunedin, in the said Province, and shall commence upon THURSDAY, the Fifth day of December, 1861, at twelve o'clock, noon ; and the Members of the said Council are hereby warned to give their attendance at the said time and place accordingly. THE Reserve on Crown Lands tn Tuakitoto and Tokomairiro Districts having been withdrawn by order of his Honor the Superintendent, Notice is Hereby Given, that the said land will be open for application on and after the 30th Fecember next. All Applicants for any of the said lands, —applications having been refused or ordered to stand over, in consequence of such reserve, —must attend at the Land Office, on the said 30th day of December, prepared to take up their applications, or such applications will be treated as abandoned. ALL Persons owning or maintaining dogs which have not been registered at the Office of the Clerk to the Bench, Dunedin, or at the Office .of any other Clerk to the Bench in the Province; are liable in very serious penalties. All dogs, being six months old, are required to be registered annually on the Ist day of April. The constabulary force are the prosecutors and informants under the " Dog Nuisance Ordinance.'1 Dunedin, November 12, 1861. 35 78 Wholesale Spirit Licenses. IVTOTICE is hereby given that the Provin--131 cial Treasnrer will be in a position to grant wholesale spirit licences on and after Monday, 25th November current. Any person selling liquor hy wholesale on and after Monday, the second day of December, 1861, without having complied with the provisions of the " Licensing Ordinance, 1861," will be dealt with as by that Ordinance provided.
