THE GOLD FIELDS.
We understand that there are several very promising rushes in the neighbourhood of Tuapeka and Waitahuna. At the latter a considerable rush is taking, place to the Commissioner's Hill. Sixteen or seventeen miles from Gabriel's,, on the West Taieri road, a rather large and highly spoken of rush i 3 occurring. Some good finds are reported at Whetherston's Gully. Coal has also been found there of good quality ; a sample is now exhibiting at the bank.
