WELLINGTON REGATTA.
(Pep. Pbess Association.) Wellington, February' 7. Great interest was taken in the annual regatta of the Wellington Rowing Association in the harbor yesterday. The weather conditions were perfect, a very light southerly cooling the temperature without in any way interfering with the oarsmen. The results are as under :
Maiden Fours, one mile; first prize £B, second £2. —Star B.C. 1, Canterbury B.C. 2, Union B.C. (Christchurch) 3. Also started: Petone 8.C., Wellington 8.C., Wanganui 8.C., and Blenheim B-.C. The -winning crew was J. B. Davis (stroke), M. A. Turner (3) C. H. Laurence (2), and A. E. Lambert (bow). Junior' Clinker Fours, one and a-half mile; first prize £B, second £2. —Union B.C. (Christchurch) 1, Picton B.C. 2, Star B.C. (No. 1 crew) 3. Also started: Star B.C. No. 2 crew), Lyttelton 8.C., Nelson 8.C., and Wanganui R.C. Senior Double Sculls, one mile and alialf; first prize £B, second £2.—Union 8.C., J. Fry (stroke), and E. O'Brien (bow) 1, 'Wellington 8.C., H. A. M'Kinley (stroke) and W. J. Gaudin 2.
