AN AGREEMENT.

An agreement has been arrived at between the Otago Licensed Victuallers' Association and the Hotel, Restaurant and Boardinghouse Employees' Union,-and will be made the award of the Court of Arbitration. Provision is made for probationers and for board and lodging at 10s for board and 5s for lodging, if not provided by employer. The hours of work are not to exceed 65 per week, arranged to suit the business. Overtime rates are fixed in addition. The statutory halfholida-- is allowed every fourth Sunday. Preference is given to members of the union. The award will come into force on March Ist, and endures for one year.
