The Legislative Assembly has negatived Mr. Smith's vote of want of confidence in the Minist-iy by a small majority, the numbers being 44 against and 39 for the motion, Sir Bryan O'Loglilen, Sir J. O'Shannassv, and Mr. M'Kean voting in the minority.
