Copies of Prospectus and Forms of Application for Shares can be obtained from the Brokers, Provisional Directors, or from any of the Branches of the Bank of New Zealand in this Colooy, until the 15th day of December, ISB- 1 , at which date all applications must be in the hands of the Brokers, #hen the lists will positively be cloned and shares allotted. Specimens of Caswell Sound Marble can be seen at any of the Museums in New Zealand ; the Chamber of Commerce, Wellington ; or on application to any of the officers of the Company. In introducing this eligible investment to the notice of tha public, the promoters desire to state that the Company's right comprise the best, most available, extensive, and perhaps most valuable Marble deposits in tho known world, at all events in the Southern Hemisphere. This is sufficiently proved by Caswell Sound Marble securing the first prize at the late Sydney Exhibition against Italian Statuary and other valuable varieties. They also wish to dwell upon its known certainty and non-speculative character, the ultimate suocees of this venture being now well established. The lowest quotation for this Marble is 12-5 per loot, aud ranges up to £5. Larger blocks are, however, *muoh more valuable, some pu-'e White Statuary, without flaws, realising as much as £20,000 sterling in Europe. The ordinary price for a block suitable for a lifesize hiiman statue being about £IOOO. The present cost 6f producing this Marble by manual labor only is about 2s per cubic foot, f. o. b. These figures may appear incredible, but they are nevertheless absolutelycorreot. Thus, taking the cost of production as stated, and the very lowest whole-ale quotation at 12s per foot gives the apparently 'abulous minimum rate of F0 ) per ceut. profit. It is therefore, no visionary matter, a* these are leading commercial lines and the values well known, the facilities of prcduotion, shipment, high quality of product, giving a vast advantage any like prop rty in the world. We will also venture to predict that the value of the Company's shares will increase at least 300 per cent, within twelve months of issue. Referring to consumption of these commoditioF, 't is also enormous. The consumption of Marble, Portland Cement, and Lime, in the Australian Colonies alona during the last twelve mouths baa been £2,872,600 sterling, and is rapidly increasing. Caswell Sound is a con moiioua and safe harbor for the largest vessels in all weather?, the works of tho Company situated at the water'B edge. The Government of tHs colony has also promised to favorably consider special grants and concessions in aid as soon as the Company is successfully floated. For Further particulars re other minerals found at the Sound, copper, coal, gold, &c.. also the manufacture of hydraulic cement, lime, &c., together with scientific, professional, Government, and other reports, •with details of the objects and intentions of the Company, wa refer to the Prospectus, which §an be obtained upon application to any of the officers of the Company or from Company's Agent?, tlift Bank of New Zealand, Oamaru, and at any o! their branches in this ci'lmy aud Australia. 800 BUSINESS NOTIOES rj, F~A L 6 ONER AND CO., (Late John Thompson,) CABINETMAKERS & UPHOLSTERERS, THAMES-STREET,
