The following Exhibition, awards have been made for bjilk ale First prizes Speight, Dunpdin ; Francis, Hokitika; Ward, Chrisfcchurch. Secqnd prizes—Pascoe, Wellington; Cochrane, Dunedin ; Speight, Dunedin; Baynes, Wangaratta. Third prizes—Srachan, Dunedin. Fourth prize Manning, Christchnrch. For porter in bulk First prizes-—Vincent,. Christchuroh ; Ehrenfried, Thames. For bottled porter: First prizes—Hargan, Dunedin. Second prizes—Manning, Christ church; Baynes, Wangaratta. The cricket match between the Australian eleven and the Victorian representative eleven was resumed yesterday. The former continued their innings, and were all disposed of for 391 rung, run out for 58, Bonnor stumped for 50, Spofforth was caught for 38, Boyle caught for 52. The Victorian team then went to the wickets for their second innings, and when the stumps were drawn for the day, had lost four wickets for 167 runs. Brisbaxe, December 13.
Mr. M'Hwraith, the Premier, will will shortly proceed to England on business connected with the proposed trans-Continental railway.
It is announced that Mr. B. D. Morehead will be appointed PostmasterGeneral in place of Mr. Buzacptt, who takes the position of editor qf the bane Courier.
