SECOND DAY,

We need add little to our remarks upon the meeting which closed yesterday afternoon. The raoing was only moderately I good, not, however, because they were not well contested, but because of the smallness of the fields in most of the events ; and the attendance was very meagre on both days. The result of the meeting must have been anything but satisfactory to those who purchased the privileges, and the smallness of the attendance should in-, duce the Club to consider whether or Hot it would not be better to have one good annual meeting instead of two. or three small meetings. Whatever decision they might coms to upon this point, the Committee ipf th,e Club would do well to avoid fixing their meetings to take place so cloae uppn regular pyblic holidays,
