DUNEDIN MARKETS. Mr. Donald Stronach (on behalf of the enZealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited* reports a3 follows for the weeK ending Sth December : Faft Cattle.—2lo were yarded at Barnside to-day, oe awul jo stores. The supply being a very full one no improvement was realised upon last ■week's low rates. Bullocks realised from L 6 to Lit) 17s fid per head, and cows JA vs to L 7 7s 6d. The stores were disposed of at from L 3 10a to L 3 17s Gd We so Id drafts on account of Mr. J. C. Buckland and others at from L 6 17s fid to LlO 2s 6d lor bullocks, and L 4 os to LS 10s for cows. We quote prime beef 22a fxl per 1001b. Fat Sheep were in good supply. —46 heart were offered, and sold at from 7s to lls 3d showing a decline on last market. \Ve sold on account of Messrs. J. and ■ . Wilson (Oamaru), 84 head at 9s 6d. Quotations for best mutton, IJd to 2d per lb. Fat Lambs —Five hundred and sixty-nine were penned, which found buyers at from 5s Gd to 9a Gd. We sold drafts on account of Messrs. P.uckland at Gs 9d to 7s Gd, and J. and S. Wilson at 8s to 9s Gd. Fat Pigs—One hundred and twenty-three sold at from 27s to 60s each. Store Sheep.—We have buyers for good yoting crossbreds, and also for merino ev> es inst full-mouthed. , ~ Wool Telegraphic advices down to trie 4th inst. show that notwithstanding certain temporary fluctuations, prices on the whole were maintained at about previous sale rates. Sheepskins—At our weekly auction on Monday we disposed of a moderate catalogue at good prices. Butchers' crossbred skins realised from as 3d to Gs Sd ; merino 3, 3s 7d to 5s 7d ; lambskins. Is Gd to Is 7d ; pelts, 6d to 8d ; skins and pieces, at per lb, 4.U1 tosgd. . Hides.—The market is very firm at last quotations, at which we have made sales of all consignments coming to hand. Tallow.—We report sales of fair quality at 25a per cwt , which we quote as market value. Rough fat is worth I.ls to IGs. Grain.—Wheat : Good milling samples are being inquired for, and would fetch our quotation o£ last week, but the market 13 almost bare of this description. For medium sorts and fowl feed the demand is not so brisk, t>u£ prices Jure not ojuofcably tllfTereJit from those of last week, which we repeat: Pnme milling. 4s Sd; medium. 2s Gd to 4s 3d; fowl feed, 2a to 33 per bushel.
