Specimens of Caswell Sound Marble can be seen at any of the Museums in New Zealand ; the Chamber of Commerce, Wellington ; or on application to any of the officers of the Company. In introducing thi3 eligible investment to ■ the notice cf the public, the promoters desire i to state that the Com: any's right comprise ; the best, mo3t available, extensive, and perhaps most valuable Marble depos'ts in the known wotM, at all events in the Southern Hemisphere. This is sufficiently proved by Caswell Sound Marble securing the first prize at the late Syduey Exhibition against Itali?n Statuary and other v.i'uable varieties. They also with to dwell upon its known certainty and con-speculative character, the ultimate success of this venture beiDg now well established. The lowest quotation for thi3 Marble is 12a per foot, ar.d ranges cp to £5. Larger blocks ore. however, much more valuable, some pu e White Statuary, without flaws, realising as much as £20,000 sterling in Europe. The ordinary price for a block suitable for a lifesize hnman statue >eir>g about £IOOO. The present cc3t of producing this Marble by manual labor only is about 2s per cubic foot, f. o.b. These figures may appear incredible, but they are nevertheless absolutelycorrect. Thus, taking the cost of production as stated, and the very lowestwbolesaleqnotation at 12s per fcot gives the apparently fabulous m'nitnum rate of fOT percent, profit. It is therefore, novisionary matter, a* these are leading commercial lines ard the values well known, the facilities of production, shipment, high quality of pre duct, giving a vast advantage any like prop rty in the world- We will also venture to predict that the value of the Company's shares will increase at least 3CO p*r cent, within twelve months of issue. Referring to consumption of these commodities, >t is al?o enormons. The consumption of Marble, Tortland Cement, ai d Lime, in the Australian Colonies alone during the last twelve months has been £2,872,600 sterling, and is rapidly increasing. Caswell Sound is a con modiona and safe harbor for the largest vessels in all weathers, the works of the Company being situated at the water's edge. The Government of t n is colony has also promised to favorably consider special grants and concessions in a'd as soon as the Company is successfully floated.
