The homeward mail via San Francisco, which left Auckland on October 12, was delivered in London to-day. November 23. A sanguinary fight took place at Ballina, in County Mayo, Ireland, today, between the police and people, who were obstructing the arrest of some leaguers. Several policemen were severely wounded.
