The opening wool sale of the season was held to-day by Messrs. Matson and 00., who catalogued |OO bales, prices showed a marked increase on last year's opening rates. Messrs. R. Wilkin and Co. catalogued 652 bales. The prices realised were—Crossbreds, up to 10|d per lb ; merino,
