At present the elections have resulted in a number of new members being eleoted by small majorities. Sir Henry Partes, the Premier, was elected for East Sydney by a small majority. • November 23. In the election for West Sydney, which took place yesterday, David Buchanan, the well-known politician, was rejected, and D. O'Connor was elected, despite the extreme measures adopted by the - Orangemen to secure the latter's rejection, as a pleasure of reprisal for Sir Henry Parkes' low poll at East Sjxjney- - Melbourne, November 23. The death is announced to-day of Sir Redmond Barry, one of the puisne judges of Victoria, aged 62. Deceased had suffered for some time from carbuncle, which was the cause of death. It is expected that the discussion of Mr. Berry's Reform Bill will be commenced in the Assembly to-night. Brisbane, November 22. •

News has been received that the captain and crew of the Annie Brooks were murdered in September by tho natives of New Stone Island, and that a party of French naturalists were also massacred last month by the natives of Moreby Island.
