But when the judge's voice waa taardSae clear an' lood his tones He gied the prize afore their eyes Tae ane ca'd Geordie J ones. The ither cuddie hirpled hame,, Wi' mony grunts an I ' groans* An' aye the o'ercome o' his cry Was Aw ! that Geordie JoiesEe ! that Geordie Jones, Ee, aw I ! that Geordie Jones I wonder what the folk can see • Tae like in Geordie Jones, My skin is thrice as thick as his,.
