CUSTOMS DUTIES.
Tfte total amount of Customs duty collected, in O.awiaru during the month of October was U273 5s Sd, as against L9OO 12s for the same month of last year, thus again showing a very appreciable increase. The following is a detailed statement of the collections :
The beer duty collected during the month amounted to LBS 3s Id. (by telegraph. ) Timaktj, October 30.. The Customs revenue for October is L 1566, being an increase of L 345 over the corresponding month of last yew, - November 1. For the past xnonth the vital statistics are :—Births, 52 ; deaths, 10 ; marriage certificates issued, 5.
