ORIGINAL CORRESPONDENCE.
A GROWL FROM WAIMATE. TO THE EDITOK OF THE OAMARtT JXtIE. Sib, —There is in your town a certain long-eared quadruped, residing mighty adjacent to the spot where our now departed friend Mr. E. M. Weedon used to keep just such another; and every time he opens his mouth to bray it is to the tune of " George Jones." Now, sir, one would think that the said George Jones must at some time or other have placed him under great pecuniary or other obligations. He is always cracking him up. Even in reviewing " Paddy Murphy's Budget," he turns aside to let us know that the said George Jones is a universal genius, and writes better than Milton or Pollock. Now, were such the case, What the de uce has that got to do with either Paddy Murphy or us ? So I take this opportunity of telling him that wo will take all his eulogies on trust, and believe him on his own unsupported testimony, if he will only have the goodness, just by way of a little variety, to bray to sonao other tune for a littlo while. —I am, &c., Kaka. Waimate Bush.
