The following are the acceptances for the Cup: Burghley, Faublas, Lothair, "Workman, Banter, Wandering Jew, Flaneur, Avernus, Geraldine, Mata, Stag, Columbus, Napper, Progress, Hamilton, Respite, Adventurer, Ltaiuuwell, Nellie, Pawnbroker, Imperial, Trevellyan, Stockbridge, Woodland, Bosworth, Richmond, Riverton, Elastic, Secundus, Lord Burghley, Lisgar, Chester, Martindale, and Auckland. Mata is now being backed at 10Q to 5. October 15, The following additional acceptances for the Cup are announced :—Mata, First Water, Rivalry, Rothschild, and Totalisator. The total final acceptances are 37.

The ponyergazione at the Exhibition last night was a complete success. Thirteen thousand persons were present. The building was illuminated by electric lights. Many of the courts, including that of New Zealand, were closed.

The question of opening the Exhibition at night is being, much discussed. Sir Herbert Siindford, the British Commissioner has protested against it being done. King George's Sound, Oct. 14.
