Best Australian beef tallow, 33s 6d; best, mutton, 35s j best leather, 11 k. At the "wool sale to-day, 8500 bales were offered, and there was a firm and active demand. The cricket; match Australians versus eleven of Nottingham was resumed and concluded to-day. The Home team continued their first innings, which closed for BS. The Australians then went in for their second innings, but only succeeded in putting together 77 runs. The Nottingham team, then requiring 131 runs to "win the match, went in for their second innings, and they succeeded in scoring the required, number with the loss of nine wickets, and thus won the match by one wicket. There was great excitement over the finish of the game. In the first innings of the Notts, Boyle and Palmer, for the Australians, .bowled splendidly, each taking five wickets. September 25.
