Thamesptreet. yesterday, ivhon tli»- attendance was very large and the bidding hrisk, all the lots submitted being disposed of at very satisfactory figures. For the equity of redemption of sections 7 and S and half of section 9, block S. together with two five rooineil dwelling-houses and stone store thereon, there was no offer, hut it is still in the hands of Mr. George Greenfield for sale :y private treaty.

The grain market during the week has been quiet, and sales have not been numerous in most of the lines. \\ heat transactions have been few. and at recent rates. There is a slight lull in the market, though prices are m no way affected. First-class milling wheat is quoted at 4s Id to 4s 2d, and inferior quality 3s lOd to 4s. Oats The inqniry for milling samples is a shade easier in the face of the most recent English telegraphic advices. Samples answering to this description find bnyers at Is 7d to Is Sd. The latter figure, however, may be looked upon aa the top price at this moment, and is only obtainable for oats of good bright quality. Barley—The market is without alteration, and little business can be reported. Flour—Millers report a good demand at present rates. Grass seed has been selling ipore freely, though prices are unaltered— Rye gras3, 2s fid to 2s 7d for best lots ; inferior varying from 2s upwards. The sea-on is now getting late, and buyera are less anxious to purchase. The stock market was fully supplied this week, and bidding was not very brisk. Sheep—Prime lots of cro33-breds realised 21s 6d; good do, 10s Gd; prime merinos, 12s 6d to 133 3d ; Heht weights, 103 Gd. "We quote mutton at ~2?d per lb ; no quotation f-in be given for stores, which are, however, in keen inquiry. Cattle—Good beef cattls were in extra larce supply. Prime bullocks sold np to LI3 17s (id ; medium do, from L 9 to LlO 10s. We quote beef at 22s per 3001b ; stores sold freely : yearlings fetched T - two-year-olds, 1.4 i'-s to 115 ss. and three-year-olds np to LG 10s. Pigs sold at prices ranging np to L 3 10s.
THE HOME MARKETS. (Br CABLE.) Ditnepin, Sept. 16. Messrs. Murray, Roberts, and Co., have received the following telegram, dated London. Sept. 11. Victorian wools unsteady. The market stronger for cross-breds, and is improving for superior scoured, but is weaker for medium and faulty scoured, and shows no material change. Foreign buyers operating moderately.
