AUCTIONEER'S REPORT. Mr. George Greenfield reports that he held a sale ot' household furniture, crockery, glassware, &c., at his auction mart on Saturday. The attendance was large and the bidding unusually brisk, all the lots offered fetching very satisfactory tignrea. He also held a sale of horses at 2.30 at his repository.- The attendance was again good and the bidding satisfactory. Hacks sold at from 15 5s to LS 10a. He also held a sale of fancy goods, watches, jewellery, &c., in the evening, The attendance was good, but the bidding was not very brisk. Mr- K* reports that he heM :v sate of freehold property, &e., at Ids mart, Thaniea-»tr»:t:t, on Saturday, the 11th inat. Section I>, bloek 1, township of Weston, was nasned in, but will doubtless be disposed of privately. He also reports a 3,ile of household furniture for Mr. \\. Hendry, Wansbeek-street. The attendance was good aad very satisfactory prices ere obtained for most of the snhmittcd. Mr. A. H. Maude reports having held a sale at his stores on the 11th inst., of pictures, Ac., at which there was a large attendance and spirited bidding, the whole of the lots offered finding purchasers at good prices He ats ) submitted; at 2 o'clock, the same day, Mr. J. Craig's farm, 1 sland Block, and two sections in the town of Oamaru. Mr. Craiii's farm had to be passed in, the bidding not reaching the owner's reserve, hut will probably be sold privately within the next few days. Ihe town sections, for which the bidding was very brisk, sold as under : part of section block 24, was knocked down to Dr. Fleming at X.405; section 10. block 17 (a vacant section), found a buyer in Mr. George Nelson.
