RAILWAY EMPLOYEES' STRIKE.

(PEE, PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Wellington, August 13. Mr. Conyers has telegraphed to the Minister for Public Works, re railway employes, as follows " Except in a few isolated cases, opposition to the seale of pay seems to have died out. The staft, as a whole, has tacitly agreed to accept the arrangement. All chance of a strike is at an end.
