AUCTIONEER'S REPORT.
Mr George Greenfield reoorts tliafc lie held a sale of household fcrnitore, cheese, onions, carrots, &c., at his mart, on Saturday. The attendance was fair, and the bidding generally spirited. Cheese sold at 53 to 6d per lb; 2 doz. oak chairs, <s 3d each : J-dozen spring chairs, at 21s : onions, Id per lb; carrots, 33 p*r bag. He also held a sale of horses at 2.30, when one or two hacks were sold at from L 6 10s np"jk'a. H. Mande reports having held his fortnightly safe of stock at 31'Kay's Itards on Friday, 3rd inst. The sales were as follow r—On account of John Eeid, Jwq. (El'ferslie}, 50 cross-bred wethers, 13a fad ; 36 merino wethers, St Gd ; <f> 6a. On account of Mr. James Mitchell, Kakanni, 6 heifers, near calving, from L 3 os to L 5 10i.
