OTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a Special Meeting of the Ccnncil, held on the twelfth day of August instant, the following resolution was adopted, viz : "That the sum of £IO,OOO be borrowed on debentures, bearing six per cent, per annum interest, in order to repay the liabilities of the Borough on Waterworks Account at the date of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1876, being brought into force in the Borough; and that a Special Rate of sixpence in the pound be pledged as security for the said loan." A SPECIAL MEETING of the Council will be held on THURSDAY, the 16th day of SEPTEMBER next, at 7.15 p.m., at the Borough Chambers, Thames-street, Oamaru, for the purpose of confirming the said resolution.
