AUCTIONEER'S REPORT. Messrs. Fleming and Hedlev report that they held a sale at the Commercial Yards, on account of Mr. William Gillespie, on Saturday, the 21st inst. On account of various vendors, 7000 bushels oats at Is 2d for long, and is id for short (not a i-erygoocl sample); l>o tons of potatoes, at 12; and about 25 tons of kidneys, George Greenfield reports that he held "a sale of freehold and leasehold properties, household furniture, &c., at his auetion mart on Saturday, when the attendance was verv good, and the bidding generally brisk. Neither of the properties found purchasers, but arc in the hands of Mr. Greenfield for sale by private treaty, Furmtore, crockery, and other goods fetched satisfactory priees. Mr. B. Leigh reports that he held a sale of household furniture, crockery and glassware &c., at his new mart, Thames-street, on Saturday, the 21st inst. The attendance ma only moderate, but the competition as good. All the lots submitted realised full m*-" Second hand furniture and cooking stoves are in cood demand. Messrs. Connell and Clowes sold by auction at their store, Tyne-street, on Saturday last: On account of Mr. James Davidson, sections 11 and 12, block XLIII., Oamaru Town, subdivided as follows : Lot frontage of 30 feet to Beid-street, b\ a depth of 165 feet to Mr. Brownlee, price L9G. Lot No. 2, same size, adjoining, to same buyer, LSI. Lot 3, adjoining lot 2, same size, to Mr. A. Hiddlestone, price TM Lot No. 4, with 5-roomed cottage, is now under offer privately, and business is ■are to result. The property of the late J. Gordon, containing 2a 3r Sp, with cottage and orchard, was soid to Mr. G. Snmpter, far lA6O.
