THE KYEBURN MURDER.

(by telegraph.) , Dunedisc, August 8. The inquest on the murdered woman Mrs. Young was resumed on Saturday, and adjourned till Wednesday. Two Chinamen have been arrested. In the hut of one was found a pair of newly washed trousers with wide blood spots on them. The following additional particulars are to hand: : —"The stones found in the house weigh from 251b to sQlb each. It is considered certain that more than one participated in the crime—most probably three. Two females, who were with Mrs. Young shortly after the alarm was given, state that she said distinctly that Chinamen, not Englishmen, inflicted the injuries upon her. The outrage appears to have been committed between 3 and sa. m. The only external wound Mrs. Y°ung reoeived was one over the right eye. It was such as might have been caused by a blow from a walking-stick, and it bled profusely. There is evidence that the murdered woman struggled to some extent. She was gagged, pieces of cord being used for the purpose, and there is a very distinct mark of a bite on her right wrist, A mask made of calico was found outside the house, but it is believed not to have been used. There is no reason whatever to believe that anything else than plunder was the object of the crime, but although tlie boxes were turned over no property is missing, the murderers not having been able to find any money, which was what they were after. Money and securities to the value of over LIOOO were afterwards found in the kitchen of the house.
