Wheat.—An improved feeling Las lately been slowly l ut surely manifesting itself, and the value of most classes hu advanced. Milling is quoted at 3s to 3« Bd, and for first-class parcels 3s 10c.to 3s lid. The demand for seed samples has been moderately active, and sales of small lots have been made at 4s 2d to 4s Cd, according to quality. The demand for milling oats continues brisk, and parcels of this kind are saleable at Is Gd; good stout for feed command Is 4d to Is 5d ; lower grades are quoted at Is Id to Is 2d. "Die market for barley is unaltered and quotations remain at 2s 2d to 2s S<\ for good malting. l_lie value of potatoes continues at 22s Gd to with only an ordinary demand. Dairy pipdace—Butter, n.UI to lOd ; cheese, 4d to 4M; bams and bacon, D£d. Mutton is quoted at a slight drop in prices. 23d per lb. Beef is in good demand owing to small supplies—3os per lOOlbs. Figs are also in keen demand.
