De Lias in the Resident Magistrate's Court—a claim of L4O penalties under the Dramatic Authors Copyright Act, for two performances— Mr. (Hesketh appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr. T. Cooper defended. The case causejd great interest among the profession, and yearly the whole of Steele's Company were [present. Mr. Cooper argued that Henrjy J. Byron might be the author of the-piece, but it was not set foirh in, particular. The action was brought by Mr. Gillon as agent, but there was no proofj of the existence of Byron as the author of the drama in question.
