The experience of the last few years leads to the conviction that for all-round agriculture the supply of rain by no means exceeds the requirements of the land. This year the thermometer at Jnvercargill has averaged higher than any part of the Middle Island, and most parts of the North Island, while there has been very considerably less rainfall than in any part of the Colony.
