In barley, potatoes, flonr, and dairy prodace there is nothing to record. The balk of the sheep yarded where of an excellent stamp for the butchers, who had much stronger competition than usual from graziers, and the result was a decided advance in price. One grazier alone purchased over 2000 sheep. Fat sheep realised as high as I7s 3d each, and we qaote mutton at 3d per lb. Stores were in good demand. The greater portion of the cattle yarded were of fair trade quality, and fat stock sold freely. Prime beef realised from 22s 6d to 25s per lOOlbs. Stores were in short supply and sold well. Pigs were of inferior quality, and prices had a downward tendency.
