Nominations of candidates for the office of Mayor must be lodged with the Town Clerk not later than noop to-morrow. There is, we believe, no likelihood of a contest, as the present Mayor is the only gentleman named as a probable candidate. In view of the fact that in all probability there will be another election in November, it could scarcely be expected that any one would come forward to dispute Mr. Gibbs' claim to office for so short a period.
