COLLIERS' STRIKE AT SHAG POINT.

TO THE EDITOR OF TEIK OA3IA RC MAIL. Sik, —Your issue of the 23th insh, I perceive, gives publicity to letters from " Veritas" and " Boreland," and the latter hacks up the opinions expressed by the former in previous issues. Your footnote with regard to ejecting men from their dwellings I admire, but at the same time, being in Oamaru, I was not aware of proceedings being taken against the unfortunate miners. I can assure you, Sir, the sooner things are altered the better, as the district, which extends for 20 miles round, 13 suffering from the effects of one man, who seems totally incapable of performing the duties with which he is entrusted. On Friday, the 2nd July, the cases postponed will come off, when something further will transpire.—l am, Ac., Veritas.
