Mr, Shrimski to-day asked the Government whether they released, or intend to release, the owners of the Shag Point colliery from any penalties contained in the penal clauses of the contract for supplying the Government with coal. The Government replied that they had not done so, and that they had not been asked to do so. Through Mr. Shrimski's instrumentality the same question wq,s asked by Captain
