Mr. Donald Stronach (on behalf of the New Loan and Mercantile Agency Company (Limited) reports as follows for the week ending Jnne 23 : Fa* Cattle. —245 were jar led at Burnside to-day, of which about 30 wire stores. The demand .was good, and last week's prices wenf well maintained, bullocks fetching L 6 15s to Ll2 2a 6d, and cows L 5 15s to L 9 5s Br head. We sold a draft on account of r. P. Ryan at L 9 for bollocks, and from T X l2*6dto L 9 5s for cows. Quotation for prime beef, 27s 6d; medium, 22s 6d. J*at Calves. —Eighteen were yarded, which add at from 15s to 50s per head, according to size and condition. Fat Sheep wore in fair supply, 1715 head having been penned. In consequence of the short »np;ly last week, and the smallness of efv-V the trade demand was very strong, and quotations show an advance of 2s per head. Crossbreds sold at 13a to 23a, and BUtrinosat 12* per head. On behalf of Mr. Walter Miller we disposed of a draft of 203 heid*at 13s to 16s 9d for crossbreds, and 10s 91 for merino*. Sheepskins.—There was & fair attendance at buyers at our sale on Monday, when we o&reA a foil catalogue, and with good competition eleared all the lots at the following quotations:—Batchers'crossbred skins, Is 7d to 5s 4d; merinos, 2s Id to 4s; pelts and skins, 7d to 3s each. Mm.—There is no change to report in notations, at which the demand is tinjtbtAed* —We have disposed of some pared* at late rates, and quote 26s per cwt. for well-rendered tallow, and 16s for rough fat. Grain.—Wheat: Receipts into warehouse liars been scarcely equal to the average MMtity of the previous few weeks, and Sere has not been much doing privately, yy e * * place all parcels of fair to good cnaHty at -our last quotations of 3s 10a for gpoi milling, and 3s 6d to 3s 8d for good We have disposed, at auction, of ißoot 400 bogs at np to 33 7d for medium j fowls' feed we quote at Is lOd to 2s per bushel. Oats :We sold 801 bags by auction yesterday at from 8d to Is 4d per frasftel for feed. Holders of any considerate parcels of good quality are firm in demanding higher prices. Barley : By auction privately we have placed 2000 bags, and quote from Is 5d for feed up to 3s per bushel for malting.
