If elected, I will use my utmost endeavor to assist in carrying such measures as will do justice alike to all classes of the community. I will give a hearty support to any Government that may be in power in carrying oat u«h reforms as will conduce to the reduction mi departmental expenditure without destroying the efficiency of service, and in all honest endeavors to reduce taxation and to

practice strict economy. The information which I have gained in connection with our railway system as a member of the Railway Commission will, I trait, be of service to the country if I am elected, as it will enable me to aid in putting la end to all unprofitable railway schemes Mch as have been forced upon Parliament inriag past years. I be in favor of the utmost liberality, cwuristent with prudence, in settling popuupon our Crown lands, and of continuing the present liberal electoral law.
