AUCTIONEER'S REPORT.

There was a very large attendance, and for moat of the lota the bidding waa keen. The wnole of the implements and stock-in-trade were next submitted. The implements ruled low, but the stock-in-trade was keenly competed for, on account of the ■amber of strange buyers. Ploughs sold at from L 8 to Ll6: harrows, from L 4 15a to 15; drays, from LlO to Ll2; chaff-cutter, LlolOa; reapers, Ll3 10s to Ll4; punching and shearing machine, L 5 5; tap and dies, T,9 • vycea, from L2 to L2 ss; lathes, L 37 10s and L6O; duplex bear, Ll2; engine and tabular boiler, L 14 0; engine and comiah boiler, LSS.; sundries, at fair rates. Mr. A. H. Maude reports having sold by auction on "Wednesday, on account the Boa|d of Governors of the Waitaki High Bchoola, the lease (from Ist June, 1880, to 31at March, 1881) of sections 15, 17, and 19, Hwt 1, Oamaru district, in two lots. The fint Jot, "containing 62 acres, brought L2 18s per acre for the term mentioned, and the second lot, containing about 87 acres, was knocked down at L2 16s per acre for the same term.
