OAMARU DOGS AT CHRISTCHURCH.

Pressure of other matters has occasioned us to omit to notice thg,t two out of the three coursing events held in Christchurch lately were won by Oamaru dogs. One of these, the Oaks, was carried off by Encore, a fast and handy slut, owned by Messrs M. Grant arid Ronayne, that ran so well in the Qamaru Derby. The other success was that secured by Mr. J. D. Kett's slut Petrea, who appropriated the Birthday Stakes. For the benefit of coursing men we give below the pedigrees of the two dogs named :
