PARLIAMENT.
THE GOVERNOR'S SPEECH.
Wellington, May 28. In the House of Representatives today. Dr. Wallis gave notice that lie would move for the production of papers relative to the sailing of the Hinomoa on her last two trips to enable members to attend the session of Parliament.
Mr. Levin gave notice that he would ask leave to introduce the Bank of New Zealand 4ct Amendment Bill. Mr. on behalf of 001. Trimble, announced that on Tuesday next he (Col. Trimble) woiM move an address in reply to the speech oi ,the Governor. A message 'vtas received from the Governor conveying a despatch from the Secretary of State acknowledging the receipt'of a vote of condolence on the death of the Princess Alice,-passed last session by both Houses of Parliament, and stating that the Queen fully appreciated the communication. . _ V Mr. Hutchison gave notice c? his intention to introduce a Bill to amend the
Municipal Corporations Act. He also asked: to have laid upon the table a return showing how much had been spent on the JWellington-Foxton railway out of the vote of L4OOO passed last session for the construction of that line.
The Premier gave notice of the Regulation of Elections Petitions Bill.
A large number of notices of motion and questions were given, and papers laid on the table.
The Premier introduced a Bill to amend the Electric Telegraph Act, which was read a first time. .
The House adjourned till Tuesday.
