THE ELECTION.
TO THE EDITOR OP THE O AMARU MAIL. Oh ! Candour, Candour, Wherefore art thou Candour ? —Shakespeare localised,
Sir, —How kind of Mr. " Candour" to inform the public that he is not the editor of the North Otago Times. Would he be good enough to tell us something we did not know. If such writers as he were engaged as editors, I am afraid that subscribers would be few and waste paper plentiful. It might be said, perhaps, of a paper edited by such a fellow as " Candour" that il the clippings were passable and the advertisements artistically arranged." Don't be alarmed, "Candour," you'll never be mistaken for anything but an understrapper.—l am, etc., Manchester.
