AUCTIONEERS' REPORTS. Mr- A- H. Maude reports having sold privately, on behalf of Mrs. J. T. Evans, sections 4 and 5 of sab-division of section 1, block 1, for L4O each; alsr», sections S and 9 nf ««nw sub-division for 1.60 each. ffcrr* Fleming and Hedley report that Ihey held a sale of fanning stock and implements yesterday, at Springfield. Althoogh the coursing interfered with the attendance, there were present a large number of buyers •ad spectators. The prize mare Blossom great attention, and after a sharp tussle between Mr. "William Gillespie and the purchaser, she was sold at the handsome mm of 90 guineas to Messrs. A. and J. MTarlane. She is one of the very best w*rpa and breeders in this district. The Colt foal at foot by The Banker fetched 54 guineas, and is considered the best animal ever left by his celebrated sire. The yearling out of Blossom was shown to_ disadvantage being greatly out of condition, but withal an excellent colt, and went to Mr. Thomas Stevenson, a decided bargain, at 31 guineas. The working mares and geldings add well at prices ranging from LSO to L 55 for good, and 135 to L.40 for fair quality. The cows were above the average, Ayrshires selling remarkably well, cows bringing from T.l-t to L2l ; heifers, from LIS to L2O; yearling Ayrshires, from LI4 to Ll7. Other young stock brought from L 3 to LlO. The implements brought fair prices. Threshing machine and engine, L 44 0; chaff-cutter and horse-power, Lls; oat-bnnser, L 1 0; large chaff-cutter, Lls. The pigs fetched extreme Tpfwt : Sows, from L 6 to LS; porkers, L 3 IGk each; young pigs, 303 each. The - y«ir«wm Riverview sections were next offered, and 10 acres sold at L2O 10s per •ere. The farm was next offered, but owing to the lateness of the hour it was withdrawn, «ii> is now for private sale. THE LABOR MARKET. Mr. Henry Macintosh reports for the ttoplt ending 3th IVlay, as follows - ~ There has been a steady demand for all flawpa of male and female servants during the week. Country orders are more to hand ♦Tm» week. Thorough good ploughmen and i good general servants are in request; also, an kinds of hotel hands—the supply being fair in all classes.
