AUCTIONEERS' REPORTS.

Messrs. Connell and Clowes report that they held a sale of store sheep at Mackay s Yards yesterday, on account of Mr. Alex. Thomson, of-Kakanui, and quote as follows: —Merino ewes: SuO were sold at 33 lOd; 250 at 3a Sd; 1050 at 3s 6d; and 030 at 3s Td Merino wethers: 220 at 4s 6d, and 3930 at 4a Id. The attendance was good, and the bidding spirited. The sheep were rn good condition, and all the lota were sold at the prieea quoted above.

Sellers are adverse to quitting at the rates ruling, while buyers aire equally guarded in purchasing. Wheat ranges from 3s 7d to 3* 9d. - oat 3 are without alteration, and are quoted at Is 3d tols fid lor feed, and Is 6d for milling. Firstclass barley is quoted at 3s 6d to 3s 9d. Other kinds range between 2a 6d to 3s. Flour is quoted at L9los to LI 1. Potatoes : are being made at 25s to 30s, but growers are not pushing at these prices. Dairy produce: Cheese, 4d to sd. Butter is in good demand at Sid to 3d; mutton, ljd and ljd to 2d per lb; beef, 17s 6d to SOT. There were some good lines of pigs at the market this week, the bulk of which were fofcw up by Dunedin buyers at 4sd.
