There was a good demand at to-day's auction, and crossbreds were firmer. April 23, The resignation of tbe fyfinistry has been accepted, and the Marquis of Hartington has been summoned by the Queen. London, April 22. The total reserve in notes and bullion in the Bank of England is 116,250,000, being a quarter of a million more than that of last week." -At the wool auction to-day 11,100 bales were offered, making a- total of 29,600 bales catalogued since the opening.
