The ketch Good Templar arrived yesterdar from Hone Shoe Bay with 25,000 feet timber, 15,0 CX) of -which is for Mesa 13. M'Calhira and Co.. and 10,000 feet for Mr. J. Jordan, of Kakanui, whither she will probably proceed to-morrow. The brigantine Helena arrived this morning from Dunedin with 300 rails and some ballast. She comes here to load barley for Melbourne. The Maggie Paterson has cleared the Customs for Hokitika with a cargo of prodace, shipped by Messrs. Anderson and Co. SI BANDING OF THE STEAMER KAKANUI. (BY TELEfSRArH.) Dunkdiv. April 19. The s.s. Kakanui went ashore at Toi Tola this morning while attempting to cross the bar. It is not known yet whether she will be got off. The insurances are in the Sonth British, National, New Zealand. Union, Victoria, and Standard —LSOD in each.
