| (FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.) The school was re-opened on Monday after the Easter vacation. The School Committee met on Tuesday and decided to advertise for nineteen books which are missing from the library ; to apply to Mr, P. G. Pryde for a share of the Parlia» mentary to public libraries j to forward the following resolution to the schoolmaster That this Committee record their full approbation of the 'efficient manner in which Mr. Selby conduots his school, and of the respectable appearance made by the school at the late
examination, and are thereby induced to offer prizes for competition at the next annual examination" ; to hold a soiree, concert, and ball in the schoolhouse on Friday, 23rd irnt.; to appoint Messrs. G. Boss, W. Scott, and T. Ward a Committee to make all arrangements for the entertainment, and to hold a meeting of the School Committee on the 16th April. | The weather has been wet for several j days, bat seems like clearing op nnw. I A concert was held at Dunback in aid, of the school funds, on Friday, but in consequence of the unsettled state of the weather and the badness of the roads, many who had intended to be there were absent. We believe that it proved consequently more satisfactory to the auditors than to the financiers.
