COMMERCIAL INTELLIGENCE.

AUSTRALIAN. MEtBOCHSE.— The Argus of March 19th reports Breadstuff's have shown some decree of firmness again. Floor is quoted at 19 17s 6d and LlO, at which, however, only the merest trad*- parcels have been moving. Wheat is a trifle stronger. At the auction sales about TOGO bags were cleared off at prices ranging from 3a 5d to 4s 2d for inferior to medium, 4s 3 to 4a tkl for fair to good, and 4a 7d to 4s Sid for prime to extra fine—at the last-named figure about 200 bags were placed. We have not, however, heard that any alteration has been made in the open market for shipping parcels, which we still quote at 4s 7d f.0.b., though the sale referred to has stiffened the views of those who have been holding over this figure. Good milling parcels have been placed at 4s Sd. Oats have been disposed of by auction at -a to -a 3d. and as much as 2s 6d was realised privately for seed parcels. Maize 13 improving , sales have been making more freely at -a 6d to 2s 7hd and 2s Sd, according to quality. At auction this afternoon the entire cargo of ■attar by the Rosalie was disposed of, 1099 ban and 923 pockets being quitted. Browns realised 28s ; yellows, 36s to 37s 6d ; greys. 37s to 395; greyish whites, 39s ; brown crystals, 39s 6d to 40s 6d; 1380 bags and mats of Queensland were at the same time cleared off at 29s 6d for browns, 30s 3d to 33s 3d for yellows and counters. Mauritius telegrams to March 9th (twelve have just been received via Natal, which state as follows:—"Since last telegram, February 26, one vessel engaged for Melbourne and one for Adelaide, besides 200 tons for Sydney. Prices unchanged. Market getting very bare of suitable qualities. These advices are considered so satisfactory to holders that higher rates are now demanded, and when we consider the present state of stocks in first hands, which, for the time of the year, are nnprecedentedly low (there being only 300 tons held), there is every reason to anticipate that the market will soon recover from its present abnormal atate. The Marie has arrived to-day from Port Loui3. Teas are going off steadily for trade purposes ; about oQO packages have 'been quitted at Is 4d to Is 6d. Hops are m considerable request; we hear of 150 pockets further of Shoobridge's having changed hands privately. Trade parcels of this growers are moving at up to 2s 3d, and the entire crop is expected to be disposed of before the week closes. Currants are going off quietly at ssd. Kerosene oil is in trade request at Is Id for small lots. Hennessy s caae brandy is selling, for actual wants at 35s 6d.
