The wool sales closed firmly at an average improvement of lAd to 2d per lb. It is expected that the next sales will open at present quotations. Superior greasy has advanced lid to 2d per lb; scoured, 2d to 3d; superior combing* washed, from Id to I jet, and combing washed, to 2d; clothing washed, Id. Since the close of last sales cros3-breds, greasy, combing washed, and scoured, have each advanced 3d per lb. Up to date 189,000 bales have been sold, and IUOO taken for export. . „ . t, . The leather market continues flat. Best aides are worth ll^d. Tallow is dnll of sale, best mutton being worth L 36, and best beef L 35 10s per ton.
