The Armed Constabulary force lately stationed at Stoney River moved to their new camp at Runeha yesterday. The natives at Runeha made not the slightest opposition to the Armed Constabulary coming, telling them that they could fix them when they liked. The chief Te Mohi intends making a present to Col. Roberts as soon as the tents are fixed. The site of the new camp is about 200 yards from the old Telegraph Office, and is on a stream called the Hauminga. ; There are 260 men belonging to the force there, besides the working party, which consists of eigthty men, who will be under charge of C. W. Hursthouse.
