Ali races to Be'run under the Dunedin Jockey Club Rules, and cew scale of weight entries and acceptances must be in sealed covers, addressed to the Secretary. contain entrance money, sweepstakes, description and>age of horse. The jockey's colors, those registered excepted,'most be stated in the entrance form, under a penalty of 2 sots, which while unliqidated will disqualify any horse whose owner or nominator has incurred such a penalty. All persons intending to withdraw horses are required to give notice to'that effect to •the Secretary or Clerk of the Scales at least half an hour before the advertised time of starting; Any person neglecting or refusing to comply with this rule shall pay a fine to be imposed by the Stewards, not exceeding 5 iov» to the race fund. In the event of any person entering a pro. test, the sum of L2 2s must be lodged with the Secretary before s-ach protest is conaid trsd ; gum to be forfeited to the funds should the Stewards consider the protest frrtfoloU3 or vexatious. Five per cent, will be deducted from jfche gross of all moneys paid in accordance with the programme tor expenses.
