evidently did not like going this morning, as he threw his head about a great deal. Resolution went twice round, doing a serviceable gallop with Kraft. Soukar carried young Allen the Cup distance, and came striding home well, although ho did 'not jump away bo freely as usual. Nuina and Te Whetu ; cantered once round, Clifford riding, the', Cup horse. Dundee went twico round at a steady pace with the cloth on. TJhe best gallop was done by M'lvor's Balmoral and Loch Lomond, whowent two circuits at a good pace, and finished tip strong. Rocket, who is now in M'lvor's .hands, cantered twice round "With Kaiser tip. Marie Stuart and Confident walked, and when work was nearlyover Genilty brought Talent and Magnolia*, on to the course, but did not Bend them,, as they had been galloped on the beach.. The hurdles were then put up, and Matui and Grey Momus were rattled over three flights. Momus struck the hurdles heavily at the back of the course, but made a long leap—said to be 27ft—opp6sitS the stand. a good, upstanding mare by Kakapo, was alßd Schooled, 'and appears to jump very, jwqll. Cavalier made the cleanest fencing, and His gallop finished, the morning's work. :
